The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for co-operative governance and traditional affairs (COGTA) has warned of severe Weather approaching. Disaster Management Teams are being put in place to take precautions and to prevent any causality.  

Weather Warning Issued

The Weather service in South Africa warns of severe weather patterns to be approaching. A level 2 warning has been issued for the region. According to reports, there will be impacts such as damage to vehicles, houses and livestock.

A storm heading south set to affect the province by 11am, Monday. And it is expected to bring a heavy forecast of floods, rains, thundering, hail and robust winds.

According to the MEC roads that are in area at severe risk for flooding and electrical power disruptions should take precautions. Expect excessive lightning causing high impacts and residents warned to stay away from bridges and roads. They will be prone to heavy floods and will be hazardous. All outdoor activities cancelled due to the extreme weathers expected.
