On Tuesday Dakota Joshua an American ice hockey player posted a statement on social media stating that was feeling a lump in one of his testicals. After getting himself checked, it was found to be testicular cancer. As he preps for surgery to remove the tumour the 28 year old expresses his plans to return to the field.
He have stated in his social media post that he have been ‘’working hard every day’’ and that he is looking forward to re-joining his teammates soon after recovery.
Although the reasons behind testicular cancer is unknown, some factors that contribute consist of genetics, age, infertility and white men are more prone to this type of cancer as studies find.
