There are hundreds of militant groups that use pagers lead to Hezbollah attacks. These bombings took place in Lebanon and Syria on 17th September (Tuesday). There are casualties involved with over thousands of people injured.
What Happened After the Pager Bombings?
There have been many who are injured by the attacks and among them is the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon. These obscure blasts came in the midst of heightening tensions between Israel and Iran-back Hezbollah.
Since October Hamas attacks o Israel sparking a new regional war, the two groups have been exchanging fires near the borders. These explosions have left blood splattered all over causing bystanders to panic. This calls for an emergency as many remain wounded.
The explosions on Tuesday too place in areas where there was a strong presence of the group. This includes, the South Beirut suburbs and in the region of Beqqa which stands towards eastern side of Lebanon. It also includes Damascus as stated by Lebanese and Hezbollah officials.
Although these explosions arrived after the internal security agency of Israel has thwarted Hezbollah’s attempt to assassinate a former senior Israeli security official. They planned on using an explosive device which could be detonated remotely. However, Israel officials and government have declined to comment on the blasts.
A Few Dead and Many Injured Post Attacks
The Hospitals overwhelmed with thousands of injured victims of the blasts, running on stretchers. Reports state some with missing pieces in their faces, missing hands, hips, legs and holes in their body. These were all repercussions form the blast including blood splattered on car doors.
The health minister of Lebanon Firas Abiad states nine people killed and over 2,750 severely injured with 200 of their condition being critical. Most of the injured sustained had to do with the face, hands and the abdomen.
The government of Lebanon and Hezbollah blames the explosions on Israel which appeared to be deliberate. They expressed this to be a criminal aggression form the Israel government and Hezbollah stated “Israel for sure will get its just punishment.”
