Kamala Harris Baits Donald Trump in Presidential Debate

A series of blows was delivered by Kamala Harris to Donald Trump during the 2nd Presidential Debate earlier today. A number of topics were touched during the debate form economy, abortion, inflation, crime, wars, immigration, and borders.  The debate was a fiery clash between Vice President Kamal Harris and her Republican opponent Donald Trump.

Early in the Debate

The initiation stages of the debate we witnessed a nervous stature of Vice President Kamala Harris. However she walking towards her opponent former President Donald Trump and shaking his hand introducing her by name. This marks a bold, yet powerful move exuberating confidence.

Although some experts are of the view that she struggled during questions pertaining to the economy, she kicked off the rest of the 90mins. Harris expressed with clear articulation how Trump is “unfit” to be president throwing claims at him.

According to body language experts, Tump was struggling to contain his anger and stature. He went off topic multiple times and grappled to answer the questions posed at him. And not a single time Trump looked at Harris throughout the debate, what does this indicate?

The Vice President went on to state “I have travelled the world as vice-president of the United States and world leaders are laughing at Donald Trump,” Harris claimed and “I have talked with military leaders, some of whom were with you, and they say you’re a disgrace.”

Women’s Healthcare & Abortion

During the debate one out of the many multiple attacks Harris made at Trump was on abortion. She accused him of being immoral” to rip away women’s right to have IVF treatment. He was also held responsible for appointing the Supreme Court justices who in 2022 overturned the constitutional right to end a pregnancy.

She also went on to say “One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree that the government and Donald Trump certainly should not be telling a woman what to do with her body,”

The United States Economy and Immigration

Although Harris appeared nervous at the early few minutes of the debate her confidence grew. She posing a strong articulation of what she wanted to express. She went on to come against claims and remarks Trump made. And mocked Trump for being manipulated by flattery, egotistical, self-centred and extreme.

She made Trump out to be a fool when she stated, “He talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter, he will talk about windmills causing cancer. And what you will also notice is that people start leaving his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom,” Harris said. “The one thing you will not hear him talk about is you.”

Trump took on to say how the Biden administration has allowed criminals and millions of illegal immigrants into the US. He blamed Harris for it. However, at one point of the debate, Trump was basing his reliance on online conspiracy theories.

It also included debunked claims of Haitian immigrants in an Ohio city had been kidnapping pets to eat them.  He stated, “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in. . . They’re eating the cats.”

Although the debate was a lot of baseless claims from Trumps end, it was not a witless debate. He scored some punches earlier on inflation and people no having money to buy “cereal or bacon. Harris responded saying the United States economy is a result of Trumps administration. And it was already crumbled when Trump left office leaving the democrats to clean up the “mess.”

Who won the debate?

In a flash poll of debate viewers conducted for CNN, 63 per cent of respondents said Harris performed better, compared with 37 per cent for Trump.
