Tropical storm warning issued on the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane. It is a Category 3 and can even be higher before making it to the Big Band Region of Florida according to the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Warning as Helene Heading towards Florida

This is the third Hurricane Florida is experiencing during the last two years in the Big Bend Region. The intensity of Hurricane Helene is reported to be increasing according to Meteorologist Noah Bergren.  It is said to cause severe catastrophes while moving in speed.

Tropical Storm warning issued to several areas in Florida. At the moment it is heading west-northwest at 17 mph while picking up strong winds of 60 mph. Tonight the Hurricane will be taking a turn towards North and pass towards the Yucatan Peninsula while moving towards Florida.  

What to Expect?

Floridians will have to prepare for damaging winds, flooding, rainfall, and severe storms that can be life threatening. Worst impacts from the Hurricane expected in the coming days.

Tropical storm warning issued for Southeast to remain prepared too as Helene will be a large scale Hurricane causing potential impacts beyond Florida. There is a chance of possible power outbreaks taking place along with strong winds, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.

On Tuesday Floridians started evacuation procedures on areas under potential threat. Officials issued mandatory evacuations for areas such as Pinellas, Hernando, Charlotte, Gulf, Manatee and Sarasota.
